KASKI Design was born in 2014 for the love of vintage and industrial design. Our main focus is on vintage and industrial lighting. Beautiful unique pieces from delicate little lamps to gigantic old theatre lamps, some unique, some made to order.

Each lamp is lovingly put together from carefully selected or handmade pieces ensuring and maximizing their unique characters.

 

KASKI is a Finnish word and translated to English it means burnt land farming. Burning the land gives the soil opportunity to create new life like we are giving these old vintage lights a whole new life. Making it possible for everybody to enjoy the past decades timeless designs for maybe few more decades more.

 

The light making process start with finding the parts. We are constantly on the look for interesting pieces whether they are vintage lamps, shades, tripods, other industrial parts or just beautiful objects.

Once all the bits and pieces are gathered or made, we carefully clean, polish or just leave them with the beautiful patina the decades has left on the surfaces. Every light is put together by hand ensuring every little detail is right. Lastly our lights are wired highly professionally with new electrical parts and tested for your safety.

 

Experimenting and combining different techniques and variation of materials is what gives our handmade lamps strong industrial feel.

Combination of reclaimed and vintage materials makes these lights unique.
